Emma & Shachar

Updated: Dec 12, 2018

I met Emma at a bridal show in February 2018. Emma was a very serene bride-to-be and had already decided on the colour palette based on her bridesmaid’s gowns.

Her bridesmaids were to wear all very individual gowns, her inspiration image was a mix of white, nude and burgundy tones, some textured and some were floral patterned. Their gowns turned out to be a mix of blush with lace, sage with embroidery, and aubergine velvet.

Based on this inspiration the brief of the bridal flowers had to be rambling, highly textured, soft and antique colours with pops of deeper tones.  We decided on burgundy, blush, soft browns, cream and white.

The dream bouquet (based on an inspiration image) was to have Julia roses, Burgundy Cymidium Orchids, white Buddlea, Dusty Miller, white Oncidium Orchids, Persimon fruit, red/green Caladium leaves and Parthinium Chrysanthemum. Most of which wasn’t available due to seasonal availability.

In substitute we could get the following: Burgundy Cymbidium Orchids, white Buddleia, chocolate Cosmos, white Oncidium Orchids, Everlasting Daisy, white Scabiosa, Quicksand Roses and locally grown grey/green foliage. Paired with blush, nude and antique rose long flowing ribbon the bouquets complimented the gowns perfectly.

We also created several rustic corsages and boutonnieres for Shachar, his groomsmen, as well as the family.
